When we were choosing a location to host Brooklyn Alpha, we decided early on that we wanted to have it at a venue that has that distinct "Brooklyn" feel to it. Cabinet magazine's rental space is about as Brooklyn as Biggie. The building was home to the National Packing Box factory from 1889-1936 and had a slew of industrial tenants before becoming working space for artists. Nowadays, the neighborhood is becoming home to a number of art collectives, performance spaces and a handful of other creative ventures by motivated Brooklynites. You're gonna love it!
